Achiote Paste

Achiote paste is made with anatto seeds. These seeds are not only very tasty but they also add a beautiful red colour to dishes. Achiote paste is a basic ingredient in Mexican dishes from the South of Mexico. This paste needs to be dissolved and combined with other ingredients, our paste is a concentrate so this must be explained.

Notes: Unless someone is making a very big recipe, chances are that only small parts of the paste block will be used. The paste will last a long time properly wrapped and stored in a dark and dry place.
