Fresh Corn Tortillas

Fresh 12 cm corn tortillas produced daily in our Surrey tortillería using traditional Mexican nixtamalisation and corn imported from Mexico. These tortillas are supplied wholesale to restaurants, street food vendors and caterers across the UK, and are the traditional size used for authentic tacos.

With a slightly larger diameter than our street taco tortillas, 12 cm tortillas are the most commonly used size in Mexican restaurants, offering the ideal balance between flexibility and filling capacity. They are widely used for classic tacos such as carne asada, al pastor and carnitas.

Corn tortillas are traditionally made using masa harina, a nixtamalised corn flour used throughout Mexican cuisine. At Mextrade, our tortillas are produced using authentic techniques developed in Mexico and explained in more detail in our tortillería process.

Each 1 kg pack contains approximately 60 tortillas, making them ideal for busy kitchens preparing high volumes of tacos. We also produce 11 cm corn tortillas or street tacos and larger 15 cm corn tortillas for bigger dishes.
